Awards are presented annually to deserving alumni clubs at the Alumni Senate. To be considered for awards, clubs must submit the Club Annual Report. Regional Directors review the club reports and nominate clubs for the awards. The Clubs Committee of the Alumni Board reviews the nominations and decides upon the Outstanding Club Award and the Charles F. Lennon Jr. award. The awards are presented at the Clubs Award Dinner during Alumni Senate weekend.
The following are short descriptions of each of the awards:

Charles F. Lennon, Jr.
This award is earned by a local Alumni Club whose level of excellent performance in all areas of club activity over a period of years is such that the club would tend to dominate or monopolize the "Outstanding Club Award." This award does not require a recipient every year, and distinction is held for 3 years.

Outstanding Club
This award is presented to one club in each size classification (i.e., AA-A-B-C-D-E-F) which has excelled above all others in support of the University's mission and in service to its local constituents. The designation shall be made by the Alumni Clubs Committee at the Alumni Senate.

Special Citation
This award is presented to a club which has sponsored some remarkable program or event which supports the mission of the Association while serving the needs and interests of alumni and/or the local community. The determination of these awards shall be made by the Alumni Clubs Committee and there shall be no limit on the number of clubs receiving this designation.

Program of Excellence
This award is presented to a club judged to have an outstanding overall program by the Alumni Association. The goal is for all clubs to win this award. There shall be no limit on the number of clubs receiving this designation. The criteria for Program of Excellence is based upon programming in the six core areas (Camaraderie, Catholic/Christian Spirituality, Communication, Community Service, Continuing Education and Current Students).
